Gifted with an eye for detail and a penchant for clean lines, principal designer Jeremy Lee of Box.id Studio aims to enhance the livability of any given space, delivering versatile design that achieves an optimal balance between form and functionality.

When quizzed about what advice he has for first-timers seeking an interior design solution, Jeremy says to “Think long term on what you really need. Do not rush into making decisions and do not compromise on what you want.”

Applying its philosophy of simplicity, the firm is able to turn a run-of-the-mill HDB apartment at Shunfu Road into an industrial chic living space.

One is greeted by the starkness of the concrete flooring upon entering the apartment, but this is quickly softened by the pairings of wooden furniture and door trimmings with white spaces, giving the apartment a sense of spaciousness.

The concrete flooring gives rise to a kind of comfortable spaciousness. The use of white on furniture and the walls give the apartment a certain sense of tranquility and airiness, as can be seen in the dining area and living room.

In another project for an apartment in Waterloo Street, Box-id Studio constructed a more uptown theme to suit the city-vibe of its location whilst injecting some vibrancy with the use of colours.

Monochromatic colours of black, white and grey were chosen to give the apartment an executive look. This contrasted neatly with the muted bursts of vibrant colours at all the right spaces.

The living room decked out in black and white except for the couch which is the centrepiece furniture that is in a bright shade of olive green, enlivening the space and makes for a refreshing greeting when its owner comes home.

The executive aesthetic was more pronounced in the bedroom and kitchen with the use of black, white an grey.

The black and white styling continued into the study, this time softened with the use of wooden furniture and a brown rug.

The bathroom has a refreshing emerald tone that would greet any visitor pleasantly.
